The new 40,000 sq. ft. three-story academic building is built into the sloping terrain, with major retaining walls. The structure is built in structural steel with concrete floors on formdeck. The large span multipurpose hall is framed with long span joists. Structural steel braced frames achieve lateral stability. The
building is founded on conventional spread footings.
