The Smuttynose Brewery located in Portsmouth NH, purchased the mill complex consisting of four interconnected 4 to 6 story buildings in New Market N.H., with intent to transfer their production facility there. Besides the brewery itself, the development was planned to include restaurants, pubs, cafe, gift store and a small hotel. The purpose of the study was to establish code requirements for the change in use and to verify the adequacy of the existing structural members and systems for the new proposed use.
