JP Library Renovation and Addition

The renovation and addition involves two additions to this historic building. One two story addition will be along the long side of the existing building and will house a new elevator, stair and office spaces. The second addition is a one story and basement addition along the short side of the existing building. There will be a new exterior entrance into the existing basement, requiring new retaining walls. The mechanical system will be updated and miscellaneous small modifications or verifications of the existing structure are required. The existing building will need to be evaluated for the effect of the addition and renovation. Seismic upgrade or modification if any will be determined based on Chapter 17 code requirements.
